I’ve just had the following conversation with a colleague:
Colleague A: (in French) ‘Your aftershave is a bit strong isn’t it Phil?’
Me: (in French) ‘It’s because you smell a bit, so it’s for both of us.
Colleagues B & C: (Sniggering. In French)
Colleague A: (in French) ‘What did he just say?’
So nice to be at the level of French where I’m able to take part in banter in the office.
